Finding the right support for you
Everyone’s needs are different, which is why I offer a range of approaches. Whether you’re looking for a safe place to talk things through, practical tools for everyday life, deeper insight into long-term patterns, or the unique experience of working alongside horses, there’s an option to suit you.
How to choose
You don’t need to know exactly which type of therapy is right for you before reaching out. During our first conversation, we’ll explore what you’re hoping for and decide together on the approach that feels most supportive.
Sessions can take place face-to-face in the barn, outdoors, or online via Zoom, whatever feels best for you. For some, the grounding experience of being here in person is invaluable; for others, the convenience and comfort of talking from home makes therapy more accessible.
I also offer a free, brief consultation (by phone or Zoom) so you can get a feel for how I work, ask any questions, and see if it feels like the right fit before committing.
Counselling
A safe, confidential space to talk openly about what’s on your mind. Counselling is supportive and non-judgemental, helping you to feel understood, explore challenges, and begin to make sense of what’s holding you back.
Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy goes deeper into the roots of your experiences, emotions, and beliefs. Together, we’ll explore long-standing patterns, relationships, and stories that may be shaping your life. This approach is less about quick fixes, and more about lasting insight and change.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a practical, structured therapy that focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. If unhelpful thought patterns are keeping you stuck, CBT can help you identify, challenge, and reframe them, giving you new tools to navigate everyday life.
Animal and Equine Assisted Therapy
Therapy doesn’t have to stay indoors. Working alongside horses in the fields offers a powerful, non-verbal way to explore emotions, boundaries, and relationships. Horses are highly sensitive animals that respond to our energy and presence, giving immediate and honest feedback. In this tranquil outdoor setting, the herd becomes part of the process, helping you connect, reflect, and grow in ways that are often hard to reach in a conventional setting.
Walk and Talk Therapy
Sometimes the best conversations happen while walking side by side. Walk and Talk therapy takes place outdoors in the fresh air, moving at your pace through the fields and hills around the farm. Walking together can make it easier to open up, ease anxiety, and bring a sense of calm and perspective that complements the therapy process.
Life Coaching
Life coaching focuses on your present and future, identifying goals, clarifying direction, and building motivation and confidence to make changes. While counselling and psychotherapy often explore the past and underlying patterns, coaching is forward-looking and action-oriented. It can be a great option if you want to grow, plan, or take positive steps towards a new chapter in life.
